UNESCO TechCul: /tack·le/ challenges of creative and cultural sector in the Asia-Pacific Region

We are hosting an "Ask Us Anything" session on 17 March 12:00 - 13:00 (SGT GMT+8) at our booth. Please join us to get updates about TechCul and other initiatives of UNESCO

In 2020, UNESCO launched the TechCul initiative to bring together tech and culture leaders with startups and entrepreneurs to develop innovative digital solutions and win-win business models to address challenges faced by the culture and creative sector. The initiative was kickstarted with the Ideathon in which 25 finalist teams were shortlisted and 12 winning projects were awarded.

The projects covered a wide spectrum of  areas such as online travel, educational or archival platforms, digital conservation tools, or solutions to enhance visitors’ experiences. The winning projects received cash prizes and mentoring support from prestigious tech companies and cultural entities such as AWS, British Council, Huawei, ICHCAP, Tencent and University of Hong Kong.

If you are interested to participate in TechCul initiative by sharing your innovative ideas or becoming an institutional partner, please contact us at techcul@unesco.org.
