BuildingBloCS

BuildingBloCS is Singapore's annual Computing education outreach programme organised by students, for students.

Mission
To promote interest in Computing education to high school students and develop computational thinking and coding skills via a diverse range of student-initiated activities, because we believe that every high school student should have access to Computing education in an increasingly digitally connected world.

History
BuildingBloCS started back in 2017 as a ground up initiative by A-level and Integrated Programme Computing students to organise Computing related activities for O-level Computing students when the O-level Computing syllabus was first launched. Now in our 5th year, we have gradually expanded our outreach to beyond O-level, A-level and Integrated Programme Computing students.

BuildingBloCS is not only a national Computing education outreach programme, it is also a platform for leadership development, innovation programme, EVIA (Education & Values In Action) and student-friendly social network. We have been very encouraged by the strong support given by a growing list of community partners such as the Ministry of Education, National University of Singapore, Amazon, ClassDo, CSIT, FOSSASIA, Google, GovTech, IMDA, PayPal, Whizz Mobility, etc.
